This page explains what information Wrangle Village (wranglevillage.uk) collects and what we do with it.
Who we are
The site is run by Extreme Overkill Ltd (company number 17266165, registered office Washdyke Farm, Lockhamgate, Wrangle, Boston, PE22 9DB), which is the data controller for information collected here. Contact us at hello@wranglevillage.uk.
Cookies
The site works without any cookies. We only set them if you say yes:
- Google Analytics (cookies starting
_ga) — counts visits and which pages are popular, so we can improve the site. These are only set if you press Accept on the cookie message. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We don't use advertising or ad-personalisation features. - Admin login — a single cookie used only by the people who run the site, when they log in.
We also keep our own simple visitor count on our server (how many pages were viewed and how quickly they loaded). It uses no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending them. Cloudflare looks at technical information from your browser to do this; it isn't used to track you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Emails
When you send an event, a listing request or a message, we email you a confirmation. Emails are sent through SMTP2GO, our email delivery service, on our behalf.
Events you send in
When you submit an event we keep the event details and your name and email address. The event details are published once approved. Your name and email are never shown on the site — we only use them to check details or contact you about the event. We delete submitter contact details within 12 months of the event date.
Directory listings
Business details in the directory (name, address, phone, website, public email) are published to help people find local businesses. Some starting details were gathered from publicly available sources. If you send us a listing request we also keep your name and email to confirm details and, if you choose a paid listing, to invoice you. Any business can ask us to correct or remove its listing at any time.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests in running a useful community directory, and contract where you take a paid listing.
Payments
Paid listings are invoiced by Extreme Overkill Ltd. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store card numbers.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@wranglevillage.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Zenlabra, Extreme Overkill Ltd's web hosting service, and protected by Cloudflare. Server logs (which include IP addresses) are kept briefly for security.
